Christina Rubalcava joined Stanislaus County Office of Education in 2019 as a Math Project Coordinator. Before moving to the county office, she taught for fifteen years in Modesto City Schools. Christina began her career in education as a teacher at La Loma Jr. High School. After 2 years in the junior high world, she moved to Enochs High School where she taught a variety of courses. During her last six years in the district, Christina was a 7-12 Math Coordinator in addition to teaching mathematics.

Christina’s passion for education aligns with the Stanislaus County Office of Education’s Cradle to Career initiative, where StanMath action team members strive for students in Stanislaus County to experience confidence, success, and joy in mathematics. She supports equitable and inclusive secondary mathematics classrooms through a variety of professional learning presentations, workshops, coaching, and other site and district support. Her current role has allowed Christina to learn about the latest research in mathematics instruction and to participate as a member of the Mathematics Curriculum Framework and Evaluation Criteria Committee (Mathematics CFCC) for the most recent framework adoption.
